Why tree cabling or tree bracing? Sometimes trees develop structural flaws such as included bark, narrow branch attachments, or co-dominant stems. In order to preserve the tree and mitigate the chance of possible branch or tree failure it can be beneficial to install specialized hardware such as cables to support limbs and brace bolts to strengthen damaged trunks. We can also install non-invasive, dynamic tree support systems when appropriate.
Tree Cabling and Tree Bracing Overview
The installation of cables and bracing rods, along with pruning to reduce end-weight can reduce the likelihood of a structural failure. Properly installed cables help to redistribute structural stress, and bracing rods can provide support to branch attachments deemed weak. A combination of cabling and bracing can successfully address existing splitting limbs and trunks.
